When did it become the middle of march. This year is just zooming by! It really is... So far it's been pretty good though. Art wise I've been trying to better myself by practicing lots and doing studies on poses and anatomy. I have been in a bit of a funk lately on how I want my art to look (I'm sure we've all been there) but I think I'm finally shaking it off! What's important is we gotta keep drawing if we want to get anywheres.

Basically, I did a lot. A lot more then usual, and it really felt awesome to be able to hang out with such epic people and go places. Usually every summer these days I have had it pretty boring with just work and work alone. Wasn't too much fun but this year so much has happened I can officially say I've enjoyed summer as best as I could. That would explain my absence!

Went to a lot of parks, saw lots of sights, got to spend some time with my family (which is hard to do often because they live three hours away which is pretty pricy for gas.) Met people I've known online for quite some time which was very cool. I was also able to zip-lining and climb a lot of trees waaaay up high with friends, that was really fun. I was able to show my friends from the US my hometown, and the place I'm currently living in. Had some summer beach fun, not as much as I had hoped but we managed to get wet once or twice.

This was mostly during the months of July and August. First we had ~Wolfsstorm11 come to Moncton, he's got his own place with a friend of ours. Was fun meeting someone with an accent lol. Very much into smash brothers we are.

Next, and a day later we picked up =LearlessFeader from the airport to stay at our place. Myself, ~Durmaethor and ~OverlordPrince were glad to have him stay for a week. Was really fun! I enjoyed every bit of it... We played a lot of Smash Bros. too, all of us. And had a lot of fun being loud and rowdy with 8 people total in our house. I swear I have never cleaned and re-cleaned messes so much in the span of two days. Worth it tho. We also had ~ZenGoat stay for a few days when LF was over, and when Tavi was over! He's been my friend since grade 1 and lives near by so it was easy to travel... I think the highlight of that visit was definitely the flying sharks in Little Big Planet (olololol probably an injoke) Little Big Planet is amazing. We made characters like ours!



A week and some later, we had *Orangetavi come visit for two weeks! Which was amazing fun as well. Did essentially the same things plus see some touristy attractions around my place. Brought everyone to see my family and tell em' all the exciting things we were doing this summer. We also watched Gurren Lagann together (my first time, and his second time but first with the English dub—Leerons voice o.e;; ) Very epic anime. Did some arts together, made buttons, played pokemon cards, went to parks _{(I just remembered we forgot to feed the ducks D: ...shoot lol)} Tavi, myself, Wolfsstorm and Steve went to Treego which was the zip-line/tree climbing place I mentioned above. THAT was cool! I felt like I was flying. Here is a little wip I had started after the zip lining!



At some point during the second week, ~Durmaethor bought me a bird, which was ~OverlordPrince's idea. I have no idea where this came from but I can't thank you guys enough. Ever since my other little guy passed away in December, life for me without a bird companion was never the same. I miss Stuy a lot, he was very, very, VERY tame and bonded with humans well.

So here's the new guy! His name is Sir Cornelius Frost-bite. Frost bite because the blue patch on his rump, and Cornelius because it came to me right away and corn/yellow corn. :0


He's such a fearless bird. I have high hopes in training this one as well as my last one :3 Love having a bird. Felt empty without one.

Gonna miss everything, and everyone so very much. Well, accept Wolfsstorm, you're here for a year bud. I'll miss you eventually. XD I took lots of pictures, so the memories we shared can be seen again and again. This will definitely be happening again, I am positive. With a little saving, anything is possible. Plus living on your own with your friends already is perfect for house guests you're already friends with. Big happy family.

Hello everyone, I'm doing commissions if anyone is interested. There are two kinds of commissions to choose from if you are compelled to buy one (or more).

($50.00 Season themed commissions) Starting out, I'll be doing three limited commissions themed around the four seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. These will be $50.00 each, one per customer, and I will be doing only three of them as they will be a part of a set. Setting the example with my character, Tairu in the season of Spring, there will be three seasons to choose from. Fall, Winter, and Summer. If there is more than one offer for a season, I will personally choose the offer I feel is the best for the season. No hard feelings if you don't get chosen, there will be opportunities later on. The idea behind this is I will be doing three separate pictures, excluding the one I did for myself and they will be posted in a 2 x 2 format. As for the pictures themselves I will need the creative liberty, with your input of course, to make them the best I can and to have consistency between each other. (artsy stuff)



^An example of what I mean. It would look similar to this, of course, with three other finished pieces of art. I will be posting them individually, and then doing a group submission of us together. (So far that's my plan)


So that being said, I have three slots for these commissions. Fall, Winter, and Summer! No additional characters can be included, it's just for one character and the background for that season.


Moving on,

($65.00 Summer beach themed commissions) I have another series of commissions if the top batch didn't suit your fancy or if they were taken already. These ones will be $65.00 each (1 character) and the theme will be summer beach fun! For example: swimming, speedos, bathing suits, (bet that caught your attention), sand castles, lounging in the sun, and other summer beach activities! This piece will have a background.

Any additional character(s) will be 20 extra. (two extra max). And I will be taking 5 slots for this.


^Some examples. The pic with the Yoshi's isn't summer themed but it's to give you an idea of how things may look style wise. The line art I'm doing will be a tad different. The very last picture is cel shaded, it'll be shaded and lined like I'm just trying to shake off the cel-shaded commissions because they're a bit too time consuming.

And that's it!

The season commission I'll be choosing myself, I'm not sure how many people are interested in that one but I am going to choose for artistic reasons. No hard feelings intended, this is just a special type of commission.

I have art I'm finishing for another individual as well, so that'll be taken care of before hand. As well as a few chibis. So far I'm just organizing a list of people who want to buy commissions.

It'll be easier then trying to manage things in the journal comments or shouts. To hold your spot, I ask for full payment, your money is safe with me, it'll basically just sit there.

Anyways, got that off my chest lol. How are you guys doing? Hopefully everyone is having a good Spring so far, I know I am. The weather is finally starting to warm up from that awful winter we had.

Black and White 2 was announced a while back, I'm pretty excited for that. I'm pretty creeped out by the hair they placed on their heads but that's tolerable, I'm sure it'll be a great game like the last one. XD Just ...omg poof!

OH, if anyone had a copy of mario party 4 and 5 they wanted to sell me I'd be willing to buy it. I have recently discovered Mario Party Saturday nights with ~OverlordPrince, ~Durmaethor, Steve, and myself to be extremely enjoyable.  

It all started out with getting Mario Party 2 on the Wii/VC ...never have I laughed so hard in my life XD Damn you shock drop and roll. We managed to get a hold of 6 and 7. 8 we don't care for and 9 we already had. I'm just trying to get them back again.

I keep kicking myself for selling em years ago! This is just so we can rotate between different Mario Party games so it's not always the same each time.

I also watched the entire series of Avatar: The Last Airbender which I must say, is completely amazing. Toph was my favourite character but the whole cast was great. The villains had their strong moments too, all the characters were really deep. Thanks to *Orangetavi for encouraging it! And now that I have all that under my belt I am so pumped for the next Korra episode. I am fanboying over Legend of Korra. Everything about it is stellar.

I guess that will suffice for now. It's been a while since I did a just because journal. 8)

I'm sure you've heard of him before. ~Orangetavi is one of my favourite artists. I learned a lot from him over time and lots to learn yet, gotta love educational art chats. I highly recommend you guys to go watch him, I know you'll like his stuff.

We're ustreaming!

And by "we" I mean ~silverava (better known as OrangeTavi) and myself are doing a collaboration ustream from the same computer. He's out visiting and we wanted to do a ustream together.

Here is the fun part, we're doing a "draw a number from a hat" game. We'll be generating the numbers by random and picking people for a small character or Pokémon request.
